Esperance is a town in the Goldfields-Esperance region of Western Australia, on the Southern Ocean coastline approximately 720km east-southeast of the state capital, Perth. Your itinerary includes some good beach time at Ten Mile Lagoon and Blue Haven Beach. Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Salmon Beach and Lucky Bay. The adventure continues: enjoy the sand and surf at Thistle Cove, stroll through West Beach, take in the exciting artwork at Section Glass Gallery, and steep yourself in history at Esperance Stonehenge.

Founded as a military outpost in 1826, Albany is the oldest town in Western Australia, just barely gaining this title by being settled two years earlier than Fremantle and Perth.
On the 17th (Sat), tour the pleasant surroundings at Shelley Beach, stop by The Denmark Heritage Cider Company, and then explore the striking landscape at Elephant Rocks. On the 18th (Sun), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: examine the collection at National Anzac Centre, contemplate the long history of The Albany Convict Gaol & Museum, and then see the interesting displays at Western Australian Museum - Albany.
