Founded as a military outpost in 1826, Albany is the oldest town in Western Australia, just barely gaining this title by being settled two years earlier than Fremantle and Perth.
Shop till you drop at South Coast WoodWorks Gallery and Torbay Glass Studio. Get a sense of the local culture at National Anzac Centre and Albany's Historic Whaling Station. Go for a jaunt from Albany to Denmark to see Greens Pool about 1 hour away. There's much more to do: enjoy the sand and surf at Little Beach, appreciate the history behind Desert Mounted Corps Memorial, and don't miss a visit to Padre White Lookout.

Melbourne to Albany is an approximately 8-hour flight. You can also do a combination of flight and bus; or drive. Margaret River

A low-rise, laid-back town of approximately 4,500 inhabitants, Margaret River serves as an ideal local base to explore the surrounding wine region.
Head to JahRoc Galleries and Moon Haven Natural Productsfor some retail therapy. Satisfy your inner culture vulture at Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse and Redgate Wines. Change things up with a short trip to Meelup Beach in Dunsborough (about 48 minutes away). Exmouth

Exmouth is a town on the tip of the North West Cape in Western Australia. Start off your visit on the 14th (Sun): stroll through Wobiri Beach, tour the pleasant surroundings at Turquoise Bay, and then browse the exhibits of The Ningaloo Gallery. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 15th (Mon): enjoy the sea views from Vlamingh Head Lighthouse, soothe aching muscles at some of the top local wellness centers, and then have unforgettable encounters with a shark diving experience.
