Queensland’s biggest town and state capital, Brisbane has an attractive, manicured image based around its riverside aesthetic as well as the contrast between its high-rise center and extensive urban greenery.
Step out of Brisbane to go to Main Beach and see Sea World Theme Park, which is approximately 1h 30 min away. Next up on the itinerary: let little ones run wild at South Bank Parklands, look for all kinds of wild species at Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary, take in nature's colorful creations at Roma Street Parkland, and take some stellar pictures from Mount Coot-tha Lookout.

You can fly from Adelaide to Brisbane in 5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of flight and bus; or drive. Traveling from Adelaide in January, you can expect nighttime temperatures to be a bit warmer in Brisbane, with lows of 25°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 4th (Fri) early enough to travel back home.
