The state of Victoria crown jewel, Melbourne boasts shaded streets, leafy residential neighborhoods, vibrant street life, and a picturesque city center.
You'll get in some beach time at St. Kilda Beach and Half Moon Bay. Visiting Melbourne Zoo and Scuba & Snorkeling will get you outdoors. Spend the 25th (Mon) wandering through the wild on a nature and wildlife tour. Start off your visit on the 2nd (Sat): stroll through Bells Beach, visit a coastal fixture at Split Point Lighthouse, then look for gifts at Great Escape Books, and finally admire the sheer force of Erskine Falls. On the next day, delve into the lush surroundings at Lorne Beach.

On the 6th (Wed), head off the coast to Koala Conservation Centre, browse the exhibits of Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit, then admire nature's wide array of creatures at The Nobbies Centre, and finally tour the pleasant surroundings at Flynns Beach. Here are some ideas for day two: kick back and relax at Cowes Beach, stop by Tyde, then head off the coast to Churchill Island, then brush up on your military savvy at National Vietnam Veterans Museum, and finally stroll through Cape Woolamai Beach.

Drive from Port Campbell to Cowes in 5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of bus, train, and taxi; or do a combination of bus and train. In March, daytime highs in Cowes are 28°C, while nighttime lows are 16°C. Wrap up your sightseeing by early afternoon on the 8th (Fri) to allow enough time to drive back home.
