On the 14th (Fri), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: enjoy the sand and surf at Moffat Beach and then tour the pleasant surroundings at Dicky Beach.

Cairns

A neat, cosmopolitan city of shaded plazas and laid-back neighborhoods, Cairns serves as a popular base for exploration of the surrounding region and the Great Barrier Reef, as well as a center for watersport activities like surfing or waterskiing.
Relax by the water at Palm Cove Beach and Trinity Beach. Take a break from Cairns with a short trip to Hartley's Crocodile Adventures in Palm Cove, about 44 minutes away. Spend the 15th (Sat) among aquatic life with a scuba or snorkeling tour. There's more to do: take in nature's colorful creations at Botanical Gardens and tour the water at your own pace with Shaolin Junk Cruises.

Cape Tribulation

A lush headland that's part of the forested Daintree Region, Cape Tribulation was so named by Lieutenant--later Captain--Cook in 1770, when his ship ran aground in the area.
Visit Myall Beach and Cape Tribulation Beach for some beach relaxation. Spend the 19th (Wed) exploring nature at Daintree National Park. There's much more to do: kick back and relax at Cow Bay Beach, relax in the rural setting at Cape Trib Farm, hike along Dubuji Boardwalk, and take in the dramatic scenery at Alexandra Bay Waterfall.
