Lying in the Tamar Valley and surrounded by forested hills, the grid-patterned city of Launceston boasts shaded avenues, vibrant street life, and a cosmopolitan atmosphere.
Start off your visit on the 3rd (Mon): look for all kinds of wild species at Cataract Gorge Reserve, then appreciate the views at The Tamar Valley, and then take in the exciting artwork at Design Centre Tasmania. On the next day, have fun at Kids Paradise, then contemplate the long history of Woolmers Estate, and then stroll through City Park.

Singapore, Singapore to Launceston is an approximately 13.5-hour flight. You can also do a combination of bus and flight. The time zone changes from Singapore Time to Australian Eastern Standard Time (Tasmania), which is usually a 2 hour difference. Snaking up the side of a rounded, tree-dotted hill, Hobart sits between Tasmania’s sprawling mountains and the vast estuary of the River Derwent.
Bring the kids along to Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary and Bellerive Beach. There's lots more to do: take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Mount Wellington, get curious at Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery, enjoy the sand and surf at Long Beach, and see the interesting displays at Mona.

On the 9th (Sun), make a trip to Remarkable Cave, look for all kinds of wild species at Tasmanian Devil Unzoo, and then browse the exhibits of Port Arthur Historic Site. Keep things going the next day: get outside with Tasman Arch and then trek along Three Capes Track.
