Melbourne to Hobart is an approximately 4-hour flight. You can also do a combination of ferry and car; or do a combination of ferry and bus. Traveling from Melbourne in December, you will find days in Hobart are little chillier (24°C), and nights are about the same (13°C). Finish your sightseeing early on the 24th (Tue) to allow enough time to drive to Port Arthur.

Escape the urban bustle at Wineglass Bay Lookout and Freycinet National Park. Visit Friendly Beaches and Coles Bay Jetty for some beach relaxation. Step out of Coles Bay to go to Bicheno and see East Coast Natureworld, which is approximately 30 minutes away.
