A relaxed town of tree-shaded streets and scenic coastal stretches, Broome gained renown as a center of the pearling industry in the late 19th century.
Step out of the city life by going to Cable Beach and Dolphin & Whale Watching. Popular historic sites such as Japanese Cemetery and Catholic Diocese of Broome are in your itinerary. Spend the 11th (Thu) wandering through the wild on a nature and wildlife tour. Next up on the itinerary: identify plant and animal life at Malcolm Douglas Crocodile Park and Animal Refuge, examine the collection at SSJG Heritage Centre, and get engrossed in the history at Broome Historical Museum.

Founded as a military outpost in 1826, Albany is the oldest town in Western Australia, just barely gaining this title by being settled two years earlier than Fremantle and Perth.
Popular historic sites such as Princess Royal Fortress and The Church of Saint John the Evangelist are in your itinerary. Get outdoors at Greens Pool and Little Beach. Spend the 14th (Sun) observing fascinating marine mammals with a dolphin and whale watching tour. There's much more to do: examine the collection at National Anzac Centre, explore the striking landscape at The Gap and Natural Bridge, contemplate the long history of The Albany Convict Gaol & Museum, and take a tour of HMAS Perth.

Getting from Broome to Albany by flight takes about 5 hours. Other options: do a combination of flight and bus; or drive. When traveling from Broome in July, plan for much colder days in Albany, with highs around 19°C, while nights are little chillier with lows around 7°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 15th (Mon) to allow enough time to travel to Perth.

Your inner history buff will appreciate Fremantle Prison and The Perth Mint. Take a break from the city and head to Cottesloe Beach and Dolphin & Whale Watching. When in Perth, make a side trip to see Caversham Wildlife Park in Whiteman, approximately 34 minutes away. Exmouth is a town on the tip of the North West Cape in Western Australia. Start off your visit on the 19th (Fri): enjoy the sea views from Vlamingh Head Lighthouse, take a memorable tour with Tours, and then indulge in some personalized pampering at some of the best spas.
