Founded as a military outpost in 1826, Albany is the oldest town in Western Australia, just barely gaining this title by being settled two years earlier than Fremantle and Perth.
Start off your visit on the 13th (Thu): pause for some photo ops at Desert Mounted Corps Memorial, then enjoy the sand and surf at Middleton Beach, then tour the pleasant surroundings at Emu Point, and finally admire the landmark architecture of The Church of Saint John the Evangelist. On your second day here, tour the pleasant surroundings at Cable Beach, kick back and relax at Little Beach, and then identify plant and animal life at Kalgan River.

Isolated and lapped at by the warm waters of the Indian Ocean, the town of Kalbarri boasts a picturesque location amid the dunes and sands of westerly Western Australia.
You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Chinaman's Beach and Kayaking & Canoeing. Take a break from the city and head to Murchison River and Blue Holes.
