Deepen your sense of the past at sights like Shrine of Remembrance and Old Melbourne Gaol. Museum-lovers will appreciate Melbourne Museum and National Gallery of Victoria. Step out of Melbourne to go to Ballarat and see Sovereign Hill, which is approximately 1h 55 min away. The adventure continues: stroll around Royal Botanic Gardens, take an in-depth tour of Immigration Museum, take a stroll through Melbourne Central, and hunt for treasures at Degraves Street.

The time zone changes from Singapore Time to Australian Eastern Standard Time (Victoria), which is usually a 2 hour difference. Snaking up the side of a rounded, tree-dotted hill, Hobart sits between Tasmania’s sprawling mountains and the vast estuary of the River Derwent.
Get in touch with nature at Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary and Mount Wellington. Popular historic sites such as Port Arthur Historic Site and Cascades Female Factory Historic Site are in your itinerary. Take a break from Hobart with a short trip to Nonesuch Distillery in Sorell, about 38 minutes away. There's still lots to do: examine the collection at Museum of Old and New Art, do a tasting at Every Man and His Dog Vineyard, and tour the pleasant surroundings at Kingston Beach.

Traveling by combination of bus, shuttle, and flight from Apollo Bay to Hobart takes 8 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of bus and flight; or do a combination of car and ferry. In August, plan for daily highs up to 15°C, and evening lows to 4°C. On the 10th (Sat), wrap the sightseeing up by early afternoon so you can travel back home.
