Ararat is a city in south-west Victoria, Australia, about 198km west of Melbourne, on the Western Highway on the eastern slopes of the Ararat Hills and Cemetery Creek valley between Victoria's Western District and the Wimmera. On the 20th (Mon), stroll through The Pinnacle, then do a tasting at Fallen Giants, and then learn about winemaking at Montara Winery. Get out of town with these interesting Port Campbell side-trips: Apollo Bay (Mait's Rest & Mariners Lookout) and Cape Otway Lightstation (in Cape Otway).
