Kick off your visit on the 1st (Fri): look for all kinds of wild species at Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary, then examine the collection at Mona, then tour the pleasant surroundings at Bellerive Beach, and finally take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Mount Wellington. On the 2nd (Sat), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: step off the mainland to explore Macquarie Island, then stop by Hammer and Hand Metal Gallery, then shop like a local with Salamanca Market, and finally kick back and relax at Long Beach.

Expect somewhat warmer temperatures when traveling from Hobart in February; daily highs in Sydney reach 31°C and lows reach 23°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 7th (Thu) early enough to travel back home.
