Adelaide to Gold Coast is an approximately 5-hour flight. You can also do a combination of flight and train; or drive. In June, Gold Coast is somewhat warmer than Adelaide - with highs of 24°C and lows of 13°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 23rd (Sun) early enough to travel to Longreach.

Longreach is a town in Central West Queensland, Australia approximately 700km from the coast, west of Rockhampton. Start off your visit on the 24th (Mon): examine the collection at Australian Stockman's Hall of Fame and Outback Heritage Centre, see the interesting displays at QANTAS Founders Museum, and then get a taste of the local shopping with Outback Pics.

The smallest of Australia’s state capitals, Darwin has nevertheless become an attractive and important urban center, being simultaneously one of the country’s most modernized cities and a gateway to both the Top End region and South East Asia.
Start off your visit on the 25th (Tue): see the interesting displays at Defence of Darwin Experience, examine the collection at Museum & Art Gallery of the Northern Territory, and then kick back and relax at Mindil Beach.

Traveling from Longreach in June, things will get somewhat warmer in Darwin: highs are around 36°C and lows about 24°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 25th (Tue) to allow enough time to travel to Cape Tribulation.

A lush headland that's part of the forested Daintree Region, Cape Tribulation was so named by Lieutenant--later Captain--Cook in 1770, when his ship ran aground in the area.
Get in touch with nature at Daintree Discovery Centre and Myall Beach. Attractions like Daintree Rainforest - Cooper Creek Wilderness and Cape Tribulation Beach make great kid-friendly stops. Spend the 27th (Thu) exploring nature at Daintree National Park. There's more to do: tour the pleasant surroundings at Dubuji Boardwalk.

A neat, cosmopolitan city of shaded plazas and laid-back neighborhoods, Cairns serves as a popular base for exploration of the surrounding region and the Great Barrier Reef, as well as a center for watersport activities like surfing or waterskiing.
Take a break from the city and head to Hartley's Crocodile Adventures and Scuba & Snorkeling. Kids will appreciate attractions like Palm Cove Beach and Trinity Beach. It doesn't end there: hike along Esplanade Boardwalk and take in the architecture and atmosphere at St Monica's Cathedral.
