Queensland’s biggest town and state capital, Brisbane has an attractive, manicured image based around its riverside aesthetic as well as the contrast between its high-rise center and extensive urban greenery.
Step out of Brisbane with an excursion to Warner Bros. Movie World in Oxenford--about 1h 20 min away. Airlie Beach

Very much a town with an emphasis on the tropical lifestyle, Airlie Beach offers exotic surroundings with palm trees and charming, sandy beaches.
On the 12th (Tue), spend a thrilling day on the water with a speed boat tour. Spend the 13th (Wed) among aquatic life with a scuba or snorkeling tour. A neat, cosmopolitan city of shaded plazas and laid-back neighborhoods, Cairns serves as a popular base for exploration of the surrounding region and the Great Barrier Reef, as well as a center for watersport activities like surfing or waterskiing.
Spend the 15th (Fri) among aquatic life with a scuba or snorkeling tour. Spend the 17th (Sun) wandering through the wild on a nature and wildlife tour. There's lots more to do: trek along Esplanade Boardwalk, have fun at Esplanade Lagoon Pool, and admire the natural beauty at Botanical Gardens.

A lush headland that's part of the forested Daintree Region, Cape Tribulation was so named by Lieutenant--later Captain--Cook in 1770, when his ship ran aground in the area.
Take a break from Cape Tribulation with a short trip to Cow Bay Beach in Cow Bay, about 42 minutes away. And it doesn't end there: look for all kinds of wild species at Daintree Rainforest - Cooper Creek Wilderness, kick back and relax at Myall Beach, explore and take pictures at Cape Trib Farm, and admire the sheer force of Alexandra Bay Waterfall.
