Satisfy your inner culture vulture at The Workshops Rail Museum and Queensland Maritime Museum. Get some historical perspective at Boggo Road Gaol and Nepalese Pagoda. The smallest of Australia’s state capitals, Darwin has nevertheless become an attractive and important urban center, being simultaneously one of the country’s most modernized cities and a gateway to both the Top End region and South East Asia.
You'll explore and learn at RFDS Darwin Tourist Facility and Museum & Art Gallery of the Northern Territory. Visit Adelaide River War Cemetery and St Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Cathedral for their historical value. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Darwin: Litchfield National Park (Florence Falls, Buley Rockhole, & more), Litchfield National Park (in Batchelor) and Fogg Dam Conservation Reserve (in Humpty Doo). Spend the 5th (Fri) wandering through the wild on a nature and wildlife tour. The adventure continues: take an in-depth tour of Darwin Aviation Museum, take an exotic tour of a safari tour, take in nature's colorful creations at George Brown Darwin Botanic Gardens, and kick back and relax at Mindil Beach.
