Snaking up the side of a rounded, tree-dotted hill, Hobart sits between Tasmania’s sprawling mountains and the vast estuary of the River Derwent.

Sydney to Hobart is an approximately 4.5-hour flight. You can also do a combination of train, ferry, and bus; or do a combination of bus and ferry. Traveling from Sydney in February, expect Hobart to be slightly colder, temps between 26°C and 14°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 6th (Thu) so you can drive to Coles Bay.

Ulverstone is a town on the northern coast of Tasmania, Australia on the mouth of the Leven River, on Bass Strait. Start off your visit on the 15th (Sat): explore the fascinating underground world of Gunns Plains Caves, then identify plant and animal life at Wings Wildlife Park, and then explore the stunning scenery at Leven Canyon. On the next day, enjoy the sand and surf at Coles Beach and then take a stroll through Tasmania’s Town of Murals.
