Founded as a military outpost in 1826, Albany is the oldest town in Western Australia, just barely gaining this title by being settled two years earlier than Fremantle and Perth.
On the 17th (Sat), steep yourself in history at Princess Royal Fortress, kick back and relax at Middleton Beach, and then enjoy the sand and surf at Little Beach. On your second day here, stroll through Greens Pool, then do a tasting at Singlefile Wines, and then kick back and relax at Emu Point.

Fly from Broome to Albany in 6 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of flight, train, and bus; or drive. Traveling from Broome in November, expect Albany to be much colder, temps between 25°C and 12°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 18th (Sun) to allow enough time to drive to Margaret River.
