Founded as a military outpost in 1826, Albany is the oldest town in Western Australia, just barely gaining this title by being settled two years earlier than Fremantle and Perth.
You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Bluff Knoll and The Albany Convict Gaol & Museum. Visiting Elephant Rocks and Middleton Beach will get you outdoors. The adventure continues: explore the activities along King George Sound, stroll through Little Beach, enjoy the sand and surf at Emu Point, and pause for some photo ops at Desert Mounted Corps Memorial.

Esperance is a town in the Goldfields-Esperance region of Western Australia, on the Southern Ocean coastline approximately 720km east-southeast of the state capital, Perth. Kick off your visit on the 11th (Fri): steep yourself in history at Esperance Stonehenge, kick back and relax at Lucky Bay, then take in the awesome beauty at Frenchman's Peak, and finally indulge your thirst for a good beer at Lucky Bay Brewing.
