Port Douglas

A holiday in Port Douglas balances an activity-filled getaway with plenty of opportunities to relax, thanks to its proximity to the Great Barrier Reef and bustling beach life.
Escape the urban bustle at Trinity Beach and Wildlife Habitat Port Douglas. Take a break from Port Douglas with a short trip to Palm Cove Beach in Palm Cove, about 42 minutes away. Founded as a military outpost in 1826, Albany is the oldest town in Western Australia, just barely gaining this title by being settled two years earlier than Fremantle and Perth.
Kick off your visit on the 13th (Sat): see the interesting displays at National Anzac Centre and then stroll through Little Beach. Step out of the city life by going to Mammoth Cave and Jewel Cave. Visit Surfers Point and Cowaramup Bay for some beach relaxation. Step out of Margaret River to go to Augusta and see Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse, which is approximately 42 minutes away. Next up on the itinerary: Head underground at Lake Cave, do a tasting at Howard Park - Margaret River Winery and Cellar Door, and awaken your taste buds at some of the top wineries in the area.
