Boort is a town in Victoria, Australia, located next to Lake Boort, in the Shire of Loddon. Change things up with these side-trips from Boort: Terrick Terrick National Park (in Pyramid Hill), St Arnaud (The Bible Museum & Immaculate Conception Church) and Donald (Mount Jeffcott Flora and Fauna Reserve, Courthouse Museum, & more). There's still lots to do: make a trip to Piccoli’s Spanner Sculptures, relax in the rural setting at Redbank Alpacas, contemplate the waterfront views at Tchum Lake, and identify plant and animal life at Minyip Bushland Reserve.

To see more things to do, other places to visit, photos, and other tourist information, you can read our Boort trip builder tool .

Sydney to Boort is an approximately 7.5-hour combination of flight and car. You can also drive. Finish your sightseeing early on the 25th (Wed) to allow enough time to travel to Yulara.

Yulara takes its name from the local Aboriginal words for "howling" and "dingoes," which conveys the town's isolated location in the Outback.
Explore Yulara's surroundings by going to Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park (Valley of the Winds, Kata Tjuta, & more). There's lots more to do: take in the dramatic natural features at Uluru, take an unforgettable tour with a helicopter tour, get engrossed in the history at Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre, and hike along Uluru Hiking Path.

The Route module can help you plan travel from Boort to Yulara. In September in Yulara, expect temperatures between 33°C during the day and 11°C at night. Cap off your sightseeing on the 30th (Mon) early enough to travel back home.
