Step off the beaten path and head to Broome Town Beach and Japanese Cemetery. Get some cultural insight at Catholic Diocese of Broome and SSJG Heritage Centre. Spend the 9th (Thu) wandering through the wild on a nature and wildlife tour. Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Emma Gorge and Parry Lagoons Nature Reserve. Step out of the city life by going to Mirima National Park and Marglu Billabong. It doesn't end there: contemplate the waterfront views at Ord River.

The smallest of Australia’s state capitals, Darwin has nevertheless become an attractive and important urban center, being simultaneously one of the country’s most modernized cities and a gateway to both the Top End region and South East Asia.
Get in touch with nature at Territory Wildlife Park and Buley Rockhole. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Adelaide River War Cemetery and Fogg Dam Conservation Reserve. Change things up with these side-trips from Darwin: Wangi Falls (in Litchfield National Park) and Batchelor Butterfly Farm and Pet Garden (in Batchelor).
