Step off the beaten path and head to Kiama Blowhole and Nan Tien Temple. Visiting Bondi Beach and Sydney Harbour National Park will get you outdoors. Venture out of the city with trips to Starfish Education Centre (in Kiama) and Shelly Beach (in Manly).
