Exmouth

Exmouth is a town on the tip of the North West Cape in Western Australia. Kick off your visit on the 5th (Mon): see the vivid underwater world at Ningaloo Reef, meet some fierce fish with a shark diving experience, and then appreciate the history behind Potshot Memorial. Here are some ideas for day two: visit a coastal fixture at Vlamingh Head Lighthouse and then discover the deep blue sea with Turquoise Bay.

Margaret River

A low-rise, laid-back town of approximately 4,500 inhabitants, Margaret River serves as an ideal local base to explore the surrounding wine region.
Get out of town with these interesting Margaret River side-trips: Busselton (Busselton Jetty & Dolphin & Whale Watching), Meelup Beach (in Dunsborough) and Howling Wolves Wines Cellar Door (in Yallingup). Founded as a military outpost in 1826, Albany is the oldest town in Western Australia, just barely gaining this title by being settled two years earlier than Fremantle and Perth.
Kick off your visit on the 12th (Mon): examine the collection at National Anzac Centre and then take in the awesome beauty at Bluff Knoll. Here are some ideas for day two: kick back and relax at Greens Pool, then get a new perspective on things with Boat Tours & Water Sports, and then take in the dramatic natural features at The Gap and Natural Bridge.
