A modern metropolis of glassy skyscrapers, waterside boulevards, and lush residential neighborhoods, Perth sits on the edge of the Swan Coastal Plain.
Visit Fremantle Prison and The Perth Mint for their historical value. Do some cultural sightseeing at The Nostalgia Box Museum and Art Gallery of Western Australia. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Perth: Quinns Rocks Beach (in Quinns Rocks) and Warnbro Beach (in Warnbro). Kick off your visit on the 1st (Fri): take in the exciting artwork at Mason Gallery, then get engrossed in the history at RFDS Darwin Tourist Facility, then examine the collection at Museum & Art Gallery of the Northern Territory, and finally enjoy the sand and surf at Mindil Beach.
