Founded as a military outpost in 1826, Albany is the oldest town in Western Australia, just barely gaining this title by being settled two years earlier than Fremantle and Perth.
Step off the beaten path and head to Lowlands Beach and Cosy Corner Beach. Get outdoors at Little Beach and Nanarup Beach. Esperance is a town in the Goldfields-Esperance region of Western Australia, on the Southern Ocean coastline approximately 720km east-southeast of the state capital, Perth. Take a break from the city and head to Thistle Cove and Salmon Beach. You'll discover tucked-away gems like Twilight Bay and Hellfire Bay. Spend the 28th (Fri) exploring nature at Cape Le Grand National Park. There's more to do: tour the pleasant surroundings at Blue Haven Beach and enjoy the sand and surf at West Beach.
