Queensland’s biggest town and state capital, Brisbane has an attractive, manicured image based around its riverside aesthetic as well as the contrast between its high-rise center and extensive urban greenery.
Your day-by-day itinerary now includes Mount Coot-tha Lookout as well as Sir Thomas Brisbane Planetarium. Attractions like Dicky Beach and CC's Croc Connections make great kid-friendly stops. Queensland Museum & Sciencentre and Opal Museum are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Venture out of the city with trips to Artworks in Clay by Anne Gentry-Smith (in Montville) and Maleny (Art on Cairncross & Maleny Golf Club).
