The state of Victoria crown jewel, Melbourne boasts shaded streets, leafy residential neighborhoods, vibrant street life, and a picturesque city center.
Step out of the city life by going to Ballarat Wildlife Park and Bells Beach. You'll discover tucked-away gems like Art Gallery of Ballarat and Eastern Beach Reserve. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Melbourne: Moonlit Sanctuary Wildlife Conservation Park (in Pearcedale), Portsea Back Beach (in Portsea) and Point Lonsdale Lighthouse (in Point Lonsdale). There's much more to do: steep yourself in history at St. Patrick's Cathedral, take in nature's colorful creations at Royal Exhibition Building, take in the spiritual surroundings of St Paul's Cathedral, and take a stroll through Collins St/Swanston St.

Getting from Adelaide to Perth by flight takes about 5 hours. Other options: drive; or take a train. Due to the time zone difference, you'll gain 1 hour traveling from Adelaide to Perth. When traveling from Adelaide in March, plan for somewhat warmer days in Perth, with highs around 34°C, while nights are about the same with lows around 19°C. Wrap up your sightseeing by early afternoon on the 29th (Thu) to allow time for travel back home.
