The state of Victoria crown jewel, Melbourne boasts shaded streets, leafy residential neighborhoods, vibrant street life, and a picturesque city center.
Deepen your sense of the past at sights like Shrine of Remembrance and Old Melbourne Gaol. Do your shopping at Melbourne Central and Readings Book Shop. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Melbourne: Moonlit Sanctuary Wildlife Conservation Park (in Pearcedale), The Great Ocean Road (in Torquay) and Y Water Discovery Centre (in Yea). Head to Sydney Fish Market and Opal Mindedfor some retail therapy. Step out of the city life by going to Scuba & Snorkeling and The Opera House to the Botanic Gardens Walk.
