Margaret River

A low-rise, laid-back town of approximately 4,500 inhabitants, Margaret River serves as an ideal local base to explore the surrounding wine region.
Explore Margaret River's surroundings by going to Meelup Beach (in Dunsborough) and Busselton Jetty (in Busselton). Spend the 18th (Sun) on a tasty journey with a beer tour and tasting. There's still lots to do: let your taste buds guide you at a local gastronomic tour, Head underground at Lake Cave, look for gifts at Treeton Fine Wood Studio, and savor the flavors at Pierro.

Traveling by car from Perth to Margaret River takes 3 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus; or do a combination of train and bus. Cap off your sightseeing on the 20th (Tue) early enough to go by car to Albany.

Founded as a military outpost in 1826, Albany is the oldest town in Western Australia, just barely gaining this title by being settled two years earlier than Fremantle and Perth.
Kick off your visit on the 21st (Wed): examine the collection at National Anzac Centre, then take in the dramatic natural features at The Gap and Natural Bridge, and then enjoy the sand and surf at Greens Pool. Here are some ideas for day two: don't miss a visit to Albany Wind Farm, then kick back and relax at Little Beach, and then tour the pleasant surroundings at Middleton Beach.

Getting from Margaret River to Albany by car takes about 4.5 hours. Other options: take a bus; or do a combination of bus and flight. Expect a daytime high around 71°F in November, and nighttime lows around 51°F. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 22nd (Thu) so you can go by car to Esperance.

Esperance is a town in the Goldfields-Esperance region of Western Australia, on the Southern Ocean coastline approximately 720km east-southeast of the state capital, Perth. Spend the 23rd (Fri) exploring nature at Cape Le Grand National Park. There's lots more to do: stroll through Thistle Cove, enjoy the sand and surf at Twilight Bay, and explore and take pictures at Great Ocean Drive.

You can drive from Albany to Esperance in 5 hours. Alternatively, you can fly; or take a bus. In November in Esperance, expect temperatures between 76°F during the day and 53°F at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 25th (Sun) to allow time to travel to Broome.

A relaxed town of tree-shaded streets and scenic coastal stretches, Broome gained renown as a center of the pearling industry in the late 19th century.
Spend the 28th (Wed) wandering through the wild on a nature and wildlife tour. There's lots more to do: kick back and relax at Cable Beach, get engrossed in the history at Broome Historical Museum, take in the dramatic natural features at Gantheaume Point, and tour the pleasant surroundings at Roebuck Bay.

Expect a bit warmer weather when traveling from Esperance in November: highs in Broome hover around 93°F, while lows dip to 79°F.
