Founded as a military outpost in 1826, Albany is the oldest town in Western Australia, just barely gaining this title by being settled two years earlier than Fremantle and Perth.
Start off your visit on the 7th (Fri): explore the striking landscape at The Gap and Natural Bridge, then examine the collection at National Anzac Centre, then contemplate the long history of Princess Royal Fortress, and finally enjoy the sand and surf at Cosy Corner Beach. On your second day here, kick back and relax at Lowlands Beach and then enjoy the sand and surf at Greens Pool.

Known for its numerous beaches and resident koala population, Port Macquarie offers visitors a welcoming environment in which to unwind.
Take a break from the city and head to Dolphin & Whale Watching and Sea Acres Rainforest Centre Port Macquarie. Get some historical perspective at Smoky Cape Lighthouse and German Monument. When in Port Macquarie, make a side trip to see Trial Bay Gaol in South West Rocks, approximately 1h 20 min away.
