Lent iconic status as a result of its famous bridge and opera house, Sydney has a down-to-earth charm that enhances its spectacular setting and functional efficiency.
On the 2nd (Sat), kick back and relax at Manly Beach, stroll through Clovelly, and then enjoy the sand and surf at Bondi Beach. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: take a stroll through The Rocks, catch a live performance at Sydney Opera House, and then take a stroll through Darling Harbour.

Manchester, UK to Sydney is an approximately 25-hour flight. You can also do a combination of flight and train. Snaking up the side of a rounded, tree-dotted hill, Hobart sits between Tasmania’s sprawling mountains and the vast estuary of the River Derwent.
You'll discover tucked-away gems like Tasmanian Devil Unzoo and Opossum Bay Beach. Visit Kingston Beach and Fortescue Bay for some beach relaxation. Change things up with a short trip to Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary in Brighton (about 30 minutes away). On the 5th (Tue), give your taste buds a day to remember with a local gastronomic tour. There's still lots to do: kick back and relax at Bellerive Beach, take in the pleasant sights at Battery Point Sculpture Trail, and take in nature's colorful creations at Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens.

Coles Bay

Overlooking one of Tasmania's most scenic strips of coastline and serving as the gateway to Freycinet National Park, Coles Bay is home to just 500 permanent residents.
Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Spiky Beach Conservation Area and Freycinet National Park. Get outdoors at Dolphin & Whale Watching and Coles Bay Jetty. Change things up with these side-trips from Coles Bay: Raspins Beach (in Orford) and Melshell Oysters (in Swansea). There's more to do: trek along Wineglass Bay Lookout and do a tasting at Craigie Knowe Vineyard.

Founded as a military outpost in 1826, Albany is the oldest town in Western Australia, just barely gaining this title by being settled two years earlier than Fremantle and Perth.
Take a break from the city and head to Anvil Beach and Misery Beach. Explore hidden gems such as Lowlands Beach and Lights Beach. Change things up with these side-trips from Albany: Denmark (Ocean Beach, Greens Pool, & more), The Denmark Heritage Cider Company (in Scotsdale) and Cosy Corner Beach (in Kronkup).
