A modern metropolis of glassy skyscrapers, waterside boulevards, and lush residential neighborhoods, Perth sits on the edge of the Swan Coastal Plain.
You'll get in some beach time at Cottesloe Beach and Rockingham Beach. Step out of the city life by going to Swan River and Perth Zoo. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Perth: Fremantle (Fremantle Markets, Fremantle Prison, & more), Caversham Wildlife Park (in Whiteman) and Herne Hill (The House of Honey & Talijancich Wines). Pack the 4th (Wed) with family-friendly diversions at Adventure World. And it doesn't end there: enjoy the sand and surf at Scarborough Beach, tour the pleasant surroundings at City Beach, tour the water at your own pace with Mandurah Cruises, and admire the natural beauty at Kings Park & Botanic Garden.
