The smallest of Australia’s state capitals, Darwin has nevertheless become an attractive and important urban center, being simultaneously one of the country’s most modernized cities and a gateway to both the Top End region and South East Asia.
Discover out-of-the-way places like Florence Falls and St Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Cathedral. Go for a jaunt from Darwin to Litchfield National Park to see Buley Rockhole about 1h 25 min away. There's still lots to do: admire all the interesting features of Hidden Valley Motor Sports Complex, stroll through Douglas Hot Springs, make a trip to Burnett House, and look for all kinds of wild species at Wildlife Areas.
