Get outdoors at Dolphin & Whale Watching and Bondi Beach. Head to Sydney Fish Market and Gannon House Galleryfor some retail therapy. Get out of town with these interesting Sydney side-trips: Coachwood Glen Nature Trail (in Megalong Valley) and Pulpit Rock Lookout (in Blue Mountains National Park). A low-rise, laid-back town of approximately 4,500 inhabitants, Margaret River serves as an ideal local base to explore the surrounding wine region.
Attractions like Dolphin & Whale Watching and Hamelin Bay make great kid-friendly stops. Get in touch with nature at Meelup Beach and Jewel Cave. Take a break from Margaret River with a short trip to Bunbury Farmers Market in Bunbury, about 1h 25 min away. Founded as a military outpost in 1826, Albany is the oldest town in Western Australia, just barely gaining this title by being settled two years earlier than Fremantle and Perth.
Start off your visit on the 7th (Thu): examine the collection at National Anzac Centre and then enjoy the sand and surf at Greens Pool. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 8th (Fri): explore the striking landscape at The Gap and Natural Bridge and then examine the collection at Albany's Historic Whaling Station.
