Broome

A relaxed town of tree-shaded streets and scenic coastal stretches, Broome gained renown as a center of the pearling industry in the late 19th century.

Founded as a military outpost in 1826, Albany is the oldest town in Western Australia, just barely gaining this title by being settled two years earlier than Fremantle and Perth.
Venture out of the city with trips to Denmark (Greens Pool, Elephant Rocks, & more) and The Denmark Heritage Cider Company (in Scotsdale). Next up on the itinerary: examine the collection at National Anzac Centre, enjoy the sand and surf at Little Beach, get great views at Rotary Lookout Albany, and make a trip to Albany Wind Farm.

A low-rise, laid-back town of approximately 4,500 inhabitants, Margaret River serves as an ideal local base to explore the surrounding wine region.
