Step off the beaten path and head to Roebuck Bay and Catholic Diocese of Broome. Escape the urban bustle at Staircase To The Moon and Broome Town Beach. Do a combination of taxi and flight from Denham to Broome in 6.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of shuttle, bus, and flight; or drive. In October, plan for daily highs up to 39°C, and evening lows to 28°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 12th (Fri) so you can travel to Albany.

Albany

Founded as a military outpost in 1826, Albany is the oldest town in Western Australia, just barely gaining this title by being settled two years earlier than Fremantle and Perth.
You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Granite Skywalk and The Church of Saint John the Evangelist. Get outdoors at Little Beach and Dolphin & Whale Watching. There's much more to do: tour the pleasant surroundings at Middleton Beach, don't miss a visit to Mt Melville Lookout, enjoy the sand and surf at Emu Point, and appreciate the history behind Desert Mounted Corps Memorial.

You can fly from Broome to Albany in 6 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of flight, train, and bus; or drive. Plan for much colder temperatures traveling from Broome in October, with highs in Albany at 23°C and lows at 10°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 15th (Mon) to allow time to drive to Margaret River.
