Esperance is a town in the Goldfields-Esperance region of Western Australia, on the Southern Ocean coastline approximately 720km east-southeast of the state capital, Perth. Explore hidden gems such as Twilight Bay and Thistle Cove. You'll get in some beach time at Lucky Bay and Blue Haven Beach. Next up on the itinerary: kick back and relax at Ten Mile Lagoon, explore and take pictures at Great Ocean Drive, stroll through Esperance Foreshore, and take some stellar pictures from Observatory Point and Lookout.

Traveling from Sydney to Esperance, you'll gain 2 hours due to the time zone difference. Traveling from Sydney in April, expect slightly colder with lows of 14°C in Esperance. Mandurah is a coastal city in Western Australia, situated approximately 72km south of the state capital, Perth. On the 11th (Thu), get up close to creatures of the deep with a dolphin and whale watching tour, then steep yourself in history at Old Blythewood, and then enjoy the sand and surf at Rockingham Beach. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 12th (Fri): zoom along the surf with a waterskiing or jet-skiing adventure, then kick back and relax at Silver Sands Beach, and then tour the pleasant surroundings at Warnbro Beach.

Traveling by combination of flight and train from Esperance to Mandurah takes 5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or do a combination of bus and train. A low-rise, laid-back town of approximately 4,500 inhabitants, Margaret River serves as an ideal local base to explore the surrounding wine region.
Explore hidden gems such as Surfers Point and Gnarabup Beach. Get in touch with nature at Bunker Bay and Hamelin Bay. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Margaret River: Sugarloaf Rock (in Cape Naturaliste) and Yallingup Beach (in Yallingup). The adventure continues: look for all kinds of wild species at Sunflowers Animal Farm, do a tasting at Howard Park - Margaret River Winery and Cellar Door, stroll through Cowaramup Bay, and find something for the whole family at Yallingup Maze.

Albany

Founded as a military outpost in 1826, Albany is the oldest town in Western Australia, just barely gaining this title by being settled two years earlier than Fremantle and Perth.
Step out of the city life by going to Emu Point and Middleton Beach. We've included these beaches for you: Little Beach and Nanarup Beach. Get out of town with these interesting Albany side-trips: Cheynes Beach (in Waychinicup National Park), Denmark (Elephant Rocks, Anvil Beach, & more) and Giant Tingle Tree (in Walpole). There's still lots to do: take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Bluff Knoll and admire all the interesting features of Replica of the Brig Amity.

You can drive from Margaret River to Albany in 4.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus; or do a combination of bus and flight. In April, daytime highs in Albany are 25°C, while nighttime lows are 13°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 20th (Sat) to allow time to travel to Kalbarri.

A relaxed town of tree-shaded streets and scenic coastal stretches, Broome gained renown as a center of the pearling industry in the late 19th century.
Kick off your visit on the 25th (Thu): kick back and relax at Reddell Beach, then stroll the grounds of Japanese Cemetery, and then kick back and relax at Broome Town Beach. Here are some ideas for day two: examine the collection at SSJG Heritage Centre, head outdoors with Staircase To The Moon, then tour the pleasant surroundings at Roebuck Bay, and finally meet the residents at Aqua Broome.
