Snaking up the side of a rounded, tree-dotted hill, Hobart sits between Tasmania’s sprawling mountains and the vast estuary of the River Derwent.
Get a sense of the local culture at Hobart Convict Penitentiary and Mawson's Hut Replica Museum. Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery and Port Arthur Historic Site will appeal to museum buffs. Esperance is a town in the Goldfields-Esperance region of Western Australia, on the Southern Ocean coastline approximately 720km east-southeast of the state capital, Perth. Step out of the city life by going to Lucky Bay and Cape Le Grand National Park. Visit Thistle Cove and Salmon Beach for some beach relaxation. The adventure continues: tour the pleasant surroundings at Blue Haven Beach and enjoy the sand and surf at Ten Mile Lagoon.

Founded as a military outpost in 1826, Albany is the oldest town in Western Australia, just barely gaining this title by being settled two years earlier than Fremantle and Perth.
You'll enjoy a bit of beach vacationing at Cheynes Beach and Greens Pool. Get some cultural insight at Albany's Historic Whaling Station and National Anzac Centre. Venture out of the city with trips to Lowlands Beach (in Lowlands) and Cosy Corner Beach (in Kronkup). There's much more to do: take in the exciting artwork at Vancouver Arts Centre, admire the landmark architecture of The Church of Saint John the Evangelist, and explore the striking landscape at The Gap and Natural Bridge.
