Named after Lord Byron's grandfather, Byron Bay is not only famous as the easternmost point of Australia, but even more so as one of the liveliest vacation spots in the country.
Start off your visit on the 23rd (Thu): take in the exciting artwork at Tweed Regional Gallery & Margaret Olley Art Centre, then visit a coastal fixture at Cape Byron Lighthouse, then trek along Cape Byron Walking Track, and finally relax and rejuvenate at some of the top local wellness centers. On the next day, add some adventure to your tour with a kayaking and canoeing tour, kick back and relax at Belongil Beach, and then take in nature's colorful creations at Crystal Castle & Shambhala Gardens.

Traveling by car from Bondi to Byron Bay takes 9 hours. Alternatively, you can fly. In May, plan for daily highs up to 74°F, and evening lows to 51°F. Cap off your sightseeing on the 25th (Sat) early enough to catcht the bus to Gold Coast.
