Queensland’s biggest town and state capital, Brisbane has an attractive, manicured image based around its riverside aesthetic as well as the contrast between its high-rise center and extensive urban greenery.
Get in touch with nature at Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary and Surfer's Paradise Beach. You'll get in some beach time at Burleigh Head National Park and Burleigh Heads Beach. Step out of Brisbane with an excursion to Marina Mirage in Main Beach--about 1h 35 min away. There's still lots to do: have fun at South Bank Parklands, enjoy the sand and surf at Moffat Beach, take some stellar pictures from Mount Coot-tha Lookout, and take in the views from Victoria Bridge Abutment.
