The smallest of Australia’s state capitals, Darwin has nevertheless become an attractive and important urban center, being simultaneously one of the country’s most modernized cities and a gateway to both the Top End region and South East Asia.
Let the collections at Museum & Art Gallery of the Northern Territory and Mason Gallery capture your imagination. Family-friendly places like Mindil Beach and Wave Lagoon will thrill your kids. Spend the 7th (Sun) wandering through the wild on a nature and wildlife tour. The adventure continues: identify plant and animal life at Crocosaurus Cove, take in the dramatic natural features at Berry Springs Nature Park, get engrossed in the history at RFDS Darwin Tourist Facility, and see the interesting displays at Defence of Darwin Experience.

When traveling from Sydney in July, plan for much hotter days and a bit warmer nights in Darwin: temperatures range from 36°C by day to 22°C at night.
