Get a sense of the local culture at Fremantle Prison and The Perth Mint. Get some historical perspective at The Bell Tower and The Fremantle Round House. Explore the numerous day-trip ideas around Perth: Caversham Wildlife Park (in Whiteman), Dolphin & Whale Watching (in Mandurah) and Fremantle (The Shipwreck Galleries, Fremantle Markets, & more). Dedicate the 20th (Tue) to wine at some of the top wineries in the area. The smallest of Australia’s state capitals, Darwin has nevertheless become an attractive and important urban center, being simultaneously one of the country’s most modernized cities and a gateway to both the Top End region and South East Asia.
Do some cultural sightseeing at Museum & Art Gallery of the Northern Territory and Defence of Darwin Experience. Get some historical perspective at St Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Cathedral and The Old Town Hall. When in Darwin, make a side trip to see Territory Wildlife Park in Berry Springs, approximately 42 minutes away. Spend the 26th (Mon) wandering through the wild on a nature and wildlife tour. Spend the 1st (Sun) on the water with a fishing tour. There's lots more to do: kick back and relax at Mindil Beach, learn about all things military at Darwin Aviation Museum, cool off at Wave Lagoon, and take a leisurely stroll along Darwin Wharf Precinct.

You can fly from Perth to Darwin in 6 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a bus. Traveling from Perth to Darwin, you'll lose 1 hour due to the time zone difference.
