A neat, cosmopolitan city of shaded plazas and laid-back neighborhoods, Cairns serves as a popular base for exploration of the surrounding region and the Great Barrier Reef, as well as a center for watersport activities like surfing or waterskiing.
Your cultural itinerary includes sights like Historic Village Herberton and Underart Gallery. Escape the urban bustle at River Rafting & Tubing and Barron Falls. Port Douglas

A holiday in Port Douglas balances an activity-filled getaway with plenty of opportunities to relax, thanks to its proximity to the Great Barrier Reef and bustling beach life.
Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Opal Reef and Agincourt Reef. Step out of the city life by going to Photography Tours and Daintree National Park. Spend the 11th (Sun) among aquatic life with a scuba or snorkeling tour. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Buderim Forest Park and Scuba & Snorkeling. Visiting Mount Coolum and Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve will get you outdoors. Step out of Mooloolaba to go to Montville and see Kondalilla Falls, which is approximately 36 minutes away.
