Margaret River

A low-rise, laid-back town of approximately 4,500 inhabitants, Margaret River serves as an ideal local base to explore the surrounding wine region.
Step out of the city life by going to Surfers Point and Yallingup Beach. Step off the beaten path and head to Eagles Heritage Wildlife Centre and Hamelin Bay. Step out of Margaret River with an excursion to Meelup Beach in Dunsborough--about 44 minutes away. There's still lots to do: look for all kinds of wild species at Sunflowers Animal Farm, take a memorable drive along Caves Road, enjoy the sand and surf at Margaret River Mouth Beach, and do a tasting at Brookwood Estate.

Albany

Founded as a military outpost in 1826, Albany is the oldest town in Western Australia, just barely gaining this title by being settled two years earlier than Fremantle and Perth.
Your cultural itinerary includes sights like Princess Royal Fortress and The Church of Saint John the Evangelist. Get in touch with nature at Dolphin & Whale Watching and Emu Point. Change things up with a short trip to Bluff Knoll in Stirling Range National Park (about 1h 20 min away). There's still lots to do: tour the pleasant surroundings at Little Beach and kick back and relax at Middleton Beach.

Esperance is a town in the Goldfields-Esperance region of Western Australia, on the Southern Ocean coastline approximately 720km east-southeast of the state capital, Perth. On the 11th (Mon), steep yourself in history at Esperance Stonehenge, enjoy the sand and surf at Lucky Bay, and then kick back and relax at Thistle Cove.
