Esperance is a town in the Goldfields-Esperance region of Western Australia, on the Southern Ocean coastline approximately 720km east-southeast of the state capital, Perth. Founded as a military outpost in 1826, Albany is the oldest town in Western Australia, just barely gaining this title by being settled two years earlier than Fremantle and Perth.
Visit Greens Pool and Cosy Corner Beach for some beach relaxation. Take a break from the city and head to Little Beach and Middleton Beach. Get out of town with these interesting Albany side-trips: Cheynes Beach (in Waychinicup National Park) and Elephant Rocks (in Denmark). Next up on the itinerary: see the interesting displays at National Anzac Centre, admire all the interesting features of Replica of the Brig Amity, pause for some photo ops at Desert Mounted Corps Memorial, and explore the striking landscape at The Gap and Natural Bridge.

A low-rise, laid-back town of approximately 4,500 inhabitants, Margaret River serves as an ideal local base to explore the surrounding wine region.
Escape the urban bustle at Meelup Beach and Dolphin & Whale Watching.
