Founded as a military outpost in 1826, Albany is the oldest town in Western Australia, just barely gaining this title by being settled two years earlier than Fremantle and Perth.
We've included these beaches for you: Cheynes Beach and Nanarup Beach. When in Albany, make a side trip to see Cosy Corner Beach in Kronkup, approximately 32 minutes away. There's still lots to do: kick back and relax at Little Beach, take in the dramatic natural features at The Gap and Natural Bridge, see the interesting displays at National Anzac Centre, and admire all the interesting features of Replica of the Brig Amity.
