The smallest of Australia’s state capitals, Darwin has nevertheless become an attractive and important urban center, being simultaneously one of the country’s most modernized cities and a gateway to both the Top End region and South East Asia.
Do your shopping at Parap Market and Crazy Acres. Do some cultural sightseeing at Koolpin Gorge and RFDS Darwin Tourist Facility. Venture out of the city with trips to Territory Wildlife Park (in Berry Springs) and Litchfield National Park (in Batchelor). Spend the 20th (Wed) wandering through the wild on a nature and wildlife tour. Plan for a day of cool, family-friendly fun on the 27th (Wed) at Darwin Waterfront.
