Lent iconic status as a result of its famous bridge and opera house, Sydney has a down-to-earth charm that enhances its spectacular setting and functional efficiency.
You'll get in some beach time at Bondi Beach and Manly Beach. Give yourself a bit of retail therapy at Sydney Fish Market and Opal Minded. Explore Sydney's surroundings by going to Wentworth Falls (in Katoomba), Coachwood Glen Nature Trail (in Megalong Valley) and Pulpit Rock Lookout (in Blue Mountains National Park). Spend the 19th (Wed) wandering through the wild on a nature and wildlife tour.
