Exmouth

Exmouth is a town on the tip of the North West Cape in Western Australia. Escape the urban bustle at Turquoise Bay and Shark Diving. Step out of Exmouth to go to Coral Bay and see Ningaloo Marine Park, which is approximately 52 minutes away. Esperance is a town in the Goldfields-Esperance region of Western Australia, on the Southern Ocean coastline approximately 720km east-southeast of the state capital, Perth. Take a break from the city and head to Cape Le Grand National Park and Thistle Cove. There's much more to do: enjoy the sand and surf at Twilight Bay, tour the pleasant surroundings at West Beach, cruise along Great Ocean Drive, and steep yourself in history at Esperance Stonehenge.

You can fly from Exmouth to Esperance in 6.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of flight and bus; or drive. Traveling from Exmouth in February, things will get a bit cooler in Esperance: highs are around 32°C and lows about 17°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 5th (Tue) to allow time to drive to Albany.

Founded as a military outpost in 1826, Albany is the oldest town in Western Australia, just barely gaining this title by being settled two years earlier than Fremantle and Perth.
Visiting Greens Pool and Little Beach will get you outdoors. Venture out of the city with trips to Cheynes Beach (in Waychinicup National Park), Denmark (Elephant Rocks, Anvil Beach, & more) and Cosy Corner Beach (in Kronkup). And it doesn't end there: explore the striking landscape at The Gap and Natural Bridge, tour the pleasant surroundings at Mandalay Beach, hike along Tree Top Walk, and get great views at Sharp Point.

A low-rise, laid-back town of approximately 4,500 inhabitants, Margaret River serves as an ideal local base to explore the surrounding wine region.
