Albany

Founded as a military outpost in 1826, Albany is the oldest town in Western Australia, just barely gaining this title by being settled two years earlier than Fremantle and Perth.
Change things up with a short trip to Greens Pool in Denmark (about 58 minutes away). There's much more to do: see the interesting displays at National Anzac Centre, enjoy the sand and surf at Middleton Beach, appreciate the history behind Desert Mounted Corps Memorial, and make a trip to Albany Wind Farm.
